Green River South

UPC has an option to earn up to an 85% interest in the Green River South project. The property comprises 428 mining claims, covering 8,842 acres, plus 5 state mining leases covering some 3,257 acres, in Utah’s San Raphael mining district, some 100 miles from the Shootaring Canyon Mill. The project is located in Emery County, Utah.

The project, previously known as the Sahara Property, was optioned by UPC from the Uranium Group (“UG”), and is located approximately 90 miles by paved road from Uranium One’s Shootaring Canyon uranium mill.

Current plans included initiation of permitting for mining operations.

A twenty-one-hole drilling program (14,405 feet) was recently completed on the property. The drilling, which was designed to provide samples for confirmation of previous drilling and for disequilibrium studies on the Sahara deposit, has successfully completed its objectives. In addition 16 holes were drilled to provide a first test of four additional targets. All five of the core holes had high core recovery (90-99%) and intersected uranium mineralization consistent with results from earlier drilling (1978-79) by Energy Fuels. The best intercept was 5 ft at an average grade of 0.12% eU3O8 in drill hole GR-1002, at a depth of 438.0 – 443.0 feet.

GR-1006-1021, depths 480 – 840, 10 holes anomalous or weakly mineralized, 6 holes barren.

The grades are reported as equivalent uranium (eU3O8) as determined by downhole logging equipment. The logging service was provided by Jet West Geophysical Services, located in Farmington, NM, using industry standard logging technology. Jet West’s gamma probes are calibrated regularly at the test pits operated by US Department of Energy, in Grants, NM.

The Sahara deposit is approximately 90 miles by paved road from U.S. Energy’s Shootaring Canyon uranium mill.
